A few months ago, we were invited by Universal Orlando to check out their VIP Experience. We had no idea what to expect but went into the day with an open mind. If you are used to the normal crowds at Universal, you are in for a real treat! The VIP Experience is essentially a guided tour through one or both parks. You have the choice between a cheaper group tour or a more expensive private tour and valid theme park admission must be purchased on top of your VIP pass. We can’t even begin to describe what a completely epic day we had with Universal Orlando. Instead of trying, we are going to try to convince you to give it a try yourself.

6 Convincing Reasons To Splurge On The VIP Experience At Universal Orlando

1. Free valet parking

The perks start as soon as you enter Universal Studios’ property! General parking for the theme park runs $20 and valet parking is even more expensive. The VIP Experience allows you to receive free valet parking for one car. See, you are saving already!

2. The cost of a private tour can be split with all your besties/family

Sure, the group tour is cheaper, but if you get enough of your friends or family to purchase a VIP Experience tour with you, the price gets cheaper for all of you! Splurging on the VIP Experience with your friends and family is the perfect way to celebrate a milestone such as a bachlor[ette] party, graduation, or any other special occasion.

3. EXTREME priority entrance to rides

We are Fastpass lovers but this is a totally different story. Fastpasses allow you to enter a ride using a different line. The VIP Experience actually allows you to enter the ride through the exit or through hidden employee entrances. This is the most magical thing in the entire world and this perk alone makes the cost of the tour totally worth it. Priority access is especially important for rides such as the ones in Harry Potter World where even regular fastpasses do not apply and for new rides such as Reign of Kong where wait times are insane.

4. Your own private guide

Having our own private guide for the day was basically like hanging out with a fun new friend who knew tons of information. Our guide’s name was Ed [ASK FOR HIM!] and he made the day totally memorable. Not only do guides know intimate behind-the-scenes information about the park, they also are at your service to help keep your bags safe while you ride each ride. This is particularly important for people using purses or bags and saves time and money on buying lockers.

5. Free food

Who doesn’t love free food? Universal Orlando immediately offers VIP Guests a complementary breakfast at the start of their day. This included yummy cereal and pastries and refreshing drinks. We wish we brought a drink with us to start our day! For lunch, you will be eating at one of Universal’s 50+ dining locations. As with all theme parks, the price of dining alone can come to $50 for two people, so this is another way to save.

6. Behind-the-scenes access

One of the coolest parts of the VIP Experience was getting to go behind-the-scenes at Universal Orlando! We were able to go into exclusive areas of the Men In Black ride, walk underneath Revenge of the Mummy in the dark, see dressing rooms, editing labs, and more! Our guide Ed knew everything about everything and we learned a ton about how Universal works and listened to cool stories about the creators.
