Aruba is known as one of the best honeymoon destinations in the Caribbean! Known for its pristine beaches, culture, and adventure it is a year-round destination. However, the best weather is found from January through March.
Part of the Dutch Caribbean, it is one of the few islands outside the Hurricane zone. There is a wide variety of accommodations from luxury properties to budget properties.
Often referred to as the “Vegas of the Caribbean”, the Palm Beach area has casinos, restaurants, and numerous beach clubs and bars!
Explore the capital city of Oranjestad. The desert landscape in Arikok National Park. Or one of the many beaches where you can snorkel horseback ride, see flamingos or scuba!
St Barts
St. Barts is one of the top Caribbean honeymoon destinations for a luxurious trip! Often compared to the French Riviera, this French-owned Caribbean island is known for its European influence and relaxed Caribbean vibes! It is also LGTBQ friendly.
A perfect honeymoon destination for those looking for luxury accommodations, amazing restaurants, gorgeous beaches, and a nightlife scene. Just a note that they use Euros instead of USD here. The best time to visit is December through May.
While difficult to get here, as you have to connect via San Juan or St. Martin and take a sea plane into St. Barts, it is worth the trek! If looking for ultimate luxury accommodations my suggestions would be Chevel Blanc or Eden Rock.
For those that want to enjoy the nightlife and party atmosphere head to beach clubs like Nikki or Le Ti. For nature lovers head to the marine reserve to see sea turtles. Enjoy amazing restaurants, or head to one of the many beaches such as Shell or Colombier.
St Lucia
St. Lucia is one of my favorite islands in the Caribbean. If you want the best Caribbean honeymoon resorts, this needs to be on your list for nature enthusiasts. A year-round destination, with the peak season running from December through May.
The island is known for its jungles you can hike the Tet Paul Nature Trail. Outdoor activities such as the Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens. Or visiting Volcano Sulphur Springs, scuba and snorkeling.
For those couples looking for the ultimate splurge, book a stay at Jade Mountain, with its open-air rooms and private pools one of the best adults-only all-inclusive in St Lucia. If you want an all-inclusive Caribbean honeymoon destination, St. Lucia has plenty of options to choose from!
US Virgin Islands
The US Virgin Islands consist of St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix. These three islands are all known for breathtaking beaches (St. Croix has the best!), snorkeling, and scenic landscapes ( St. Johns)
Honeymooners looking to explore nature will want to head to St. John’s, the smallest of the three USVI. Nature lovers will explore tropical forests, the Virgin Islands National Park white sand beaches, and rugged cliffs.
St. Croix is the largest island, known for beaches, casinos, resorts, and shopping! St. Thomas is the best known of the islands offering stunning resorts, shopping, and dining in the capital city of Charlotte Amalie.

The South Coast of Jamacia is our choice of where to honeymoon in the Caribbean. We highly recommend Sandals Resorts South Coast, for its AMAZING over-the-water bungalows like you would find in Tahiti or Maldives!!! Plus the bungalows are arranged in a heart shape!
All bungalows feature a glass floor, a soaking tub outdoors, and an overwater hammock. It is bliss. You don’t even need to leave your room. Many of the hotels here cater to honeymooners with entire packages.

Turks and Caicos
For honeymooners looking for warm weather, turquoise waters, and white sand beaches Turks and Caicos is known for being a romantic destination just south of the Bahamas and a quick flight from the East Coast.
The best time to visit is December to March, however, I have visited in early summer and late fall and the weather was perfect!
Starting on the famed Grace Bay Beach you will find all the luxury resorts or Airbnb rentals, while Grand Turk is known for diving! Most visitors stay in Providenciales, where the international airport is located.
There are tons of beaches to explore, boutiques, restaurants serving fresh seafood and water sports activities such as kayaking, snorkeling, and more.
For those looking to dive head to Prince Alexandra National Reserve on smaller Salt Cay or the third largest barrier reef in the world located just offshore!
St. Kitts and Nevis
Located in the West Indies St. Kitts and Nevis are islands known for their turquoise waters and white, black, and gray sand beaches. The best time to visit is December to April to avoid hurricane season.
Take a ride on the St. Kitts railway for a scenic ride through the island where you can see stunning mountain vistas overlooking the ocean. Or head to the UNESCO site at Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park to hike. While Nevis is the smaller of the islands and more laid back. Make sure to check out the Nevis Peak volcano and Lovers Beach!
On my last stay in St. Kitts, I stayed at the Park Hyatt and could not recommend it more as a honeymoon resort, we didn’t even leave the resort! Although there are tons of properties ranging from luxury to off-the-beaten-path resorts.
Dominica
Dominica, not to be confused with the Dominican Republic, is a Caribbean Island honeymoon destination for those looking for adventure and nature think “eco-tourism”. This small island is best known for its lush tropical rainforests, mountains, and rivers.
I don’t suggest this island for those wanting to spend their honeymoon lounging on the beach. Although there is a black sand beach worth visiting! The best time to visit is November through February.
If you are into hiking, you can explore the Waitukubuli National Trail, the top hike in the Caribbean. Or Trois Pitons National Park with breathtaking vistas. Here you will find the Emerald Pool with a waterfall, where you can dive or swim.
For divers, the Champagne Reef is a volcanic spring worth the trek! You can find everything from luxury resorts to charming guest homes.
Bahamas
The Bahamas is a quick getaway from the East Coast that should be considered one of your Caribbean honeymoon destinations. It is the closest Caribbean island to the US! While Nassau might first pop into your head, there are over 30 islands in the Bahamas.
From amazing national parks, beaches, secluded islands by boat, scuba, snorkeling, and more to explore in the Bahamas! You can choose from a laid-back secluded honeymoon to a luxury 5-star retreat here!
For those looking for luxury, I highly recommend the Pink Sand Resort on Harbor Island where you will find a pink sand beach, and my favorite transportation is the moke!
While in the Exumas those who are more adventurous can swim with the pigs or nurse sharks and bask in the sun with iguanas.
Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic is one of the best all-inclusive Caribbean honeymoon destinations! Known for its over 200 white sandy beaches, along with a rugged coastline filled with adventures.
From scuba and snorkeling to horseback riding, to ziplining and golf there are endless activities if you wish to leave your resort.
For those honeymooners looking at all-inclusive resorts, numerous options in the Dominican Republic. Boasting pools, restaurants, and activities so that you need to leave your resort! Plus all your food, drinks, and activities are included.
The best time to plan a trip here is December through April! Punta Cana is one of the major cities known for its resorts ( both all-inclusive and resorts) and probably the best area to stay in for your honeymoon.
Grand Cayman
There are three islands in the Cayman, the largest being Grand Cayman. If you are looking for a honeymoon destination that combines beaches with outdoor activities and is a quick flight from the East Coast of Florida.
The best weather is found from January to April. Explore the famous Seven Mile beach, swim with stingrays (one of my favorite activities on the island), snorkel or dive the reef just offshore!
For luxury accommodations enjoy the Ritz Carlton where the annual Cayman Cookout is held (highly recommend booking tickets in advance if your honeymoon coincides with this AMAZING event), or for the seclusion of the smaller Cayman Brac stay at the Le Soleil d’Or.
Antigua
Are you looking at where to honeymoon in the Caribbean? Antigua is a luxury destination with a vibrant culture, pristine waters, and the perfect place for a romantic honeymoon. The peak time to visit is December to April.
The island is known for yachting, 5-star accommodations like Carlisle Bay, fine dining, and luxury shopping! It is the honeymoon destination for those looking to spare no expense for an ultimate honeymoon getaway.
Explore over 300 beaches where you can snorkel or dive at the nearby reef, head out on a romantic catamaran tour, explore the UNESCO Heritage site of Nelson’s Dockyard National Park, and swim with the pigs!

Curaçao
Curacao is a vibrant small Dutch Island in the southern Caribbean. This is one of the Caribbean honeymoon destinations with a peak season from May to November.
For this island, we highly recommend renting a car to get around and explore the island. It is also one of the most LGBTQ friendly islands in the Caribbean!!
Known for over 30 pristine beaches, the capital city of Willemstad is a UNESCO World Heritage site., Hike in Christoffelpark National Park. Go cliff diving, explore a blow hole at Playa Abou or snorkel the Blue Cave.
For hotels, I would suggest Sandals NEW Royal Curaçao for all-inclusive options, or the Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort (A great option on Marriott points) for those wanting to be near the capital city!
Barbados
Barbados is the easternmost of the Caribbean Islands. This vibrant island is known for its culture, pristine white-sand beaches, rugged coastline, hiking, and tons of other activities such as rum distilleries to partake in.
It is worth noting for those who are planning to rent a car on their trip, the island’s British roots mean you will be driving on the opposite side of the road! The Gold Coast is known for its pristine beaches. Paynes Bay is known for snorkeling and the South Coast is known for windsurfing.
Plus there are plenty of all-inclusive Caribbean honeymoon destinations resorts on the island.
Grenada
While Grenada might not have been on top of your list of Caribbean honeymoon destinations, this might change your mind. Known as one of the most picturesque islands with mountains, beaches, and forests to explore, it is less touristy than other islands.
This West Indies Island capital city of St. George has amazing architecture, historical sights, restaurants, and markets known for spices.
The Grand Anse Beach is one of the best beaches in the world! Don’t forget to explore the rainforest in Grand Etang Forest Reserve and the extinct volcano and Grand Etang Lake.
