I always feel that hotels don’t need to work so hard in the Maldives as the location is so incredible but The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort hotel just adds to the surroundings so impeccably.
While I’m normally attracted to water bungalows here they have an incredible beachfront suite with a private pool that is just a dream come true.
Set on a private island with tropical gardens and powdery white sand beaches this resort has absolutely everything you could need. Think of all you could imagine for a luxury resort and then take it up a notch.
Oh, and you reach the resort via seaplane. This is one of the best Marriott hotels and resorts.

Dorado Beach Ritz Carlton Reserve – Puerto Rico
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I want to stay here it has been on my wish list forever. From what I can tell most rooms have a plunge pool, an incredible view, and an outdoor shower that is calling my name.
Every inch of the Dorado Beach Ritz Carlton Reserve enjoys a stunning vista and the rooms and suites are some of the best I can see. The resort also has an on-site golf course, a fitness center, and spa.

The Ritz-Carlton Maldives
A friend of mine has stayed here and had nothing but amazing things to say about it. The Ritz-Carlton Maldives has everything you would expect of a Maldives hotel but is rather more modern and stylish in its approach.
Where most resorts have round or square suits here everything is oval and curved, a design choice that sweeps throughout the resort to create something rather splendid. Here everything seems to open up to the ocean so seamlessly.
Of course there is everything you would expect here and the resort caters to children quite well too.
This is one of the best Marriott resorts in the world if you are looking for something very chill and stylish.

Delta Hotels Riviera Nayarit – Mexico
If you are looking for one of the best Marriott all-inclusive resorts Delta Hotels Riviera Nayarit is it.
This is also perfect for those who much prefer a stay in the forest rather than the beach, even though it is on the beach. Look at the pictures and you will see what I mean.
I find this place difficult to describe on one hand it looks like you are staying in the wilderness with rooms perched high in tree-covered slopes, on the other it’s brightly colored covered restaurants leading to the beach. It certainly offers something different.
This all-inclusive resort really does have absolutely everything you could ever need. It even has an Aqua Jungle & River experience which has five Jacuzzis for adults, a total of seven pools, an elongated lazy river, and two kid’s areas with waterslides and splash amenities.
There is something very refreshing and different about this property that I adore and I’m sure you will too.

It’s a beautiful tropical resort popular with honeymooners that offers everything you could ever need.

The Gritti Palace Venice, Italy
If you are after the perfect getaway in the perfect location then The Gritti Palace Venice is for you. This is on of the best Marriotts in the world if you are looking for a city hotel.
The building is historic, the views are incredible but here it’s the rooms that steal center stage. If you want to feel like you are living like royalty this is the place to do it. Think opulent and luxurious at every level.
As the name suggests The Gritti Palace is set in a former noble residence. It sits on Venice’s Grand Canal, with views of Santa Maria delle Salute Church.

Dubai is known for its luxury and clean lines but the Al Maha offers you something extremely different to what you might expect.
This is a Desert Resort And Spa with free-roaming wildlife and a desert view that is like nothing I have ever seen.
Here you stay in Bedouin style tents which all come with private temperature controlled swimming pools, private sun decks, large bathrooms and soaking tubs, and rainfall showers.

Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Bali, Indonesia
It is stylish and then there is the Mandapa. This place honestly took my breath away.
Set among greenery in Ubud most of the villas and suites offer views of the surrounding rainforest, rice paddies, or the Ayung River.
The pool river view suites here are just stunning. Everything about these rooms gives a zen yet warm feeling. The tasteful décor makes you feel welcome yet doesn’t take over. The bathrooms are stunning and the outdoor showers are something else.
I think I have fallen in love with this place and it is definitely going on my must-visit list.

JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort And Spa, Vietnam
This hotel is like nothing you have ever seen. One of my friends has stayed at the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort And Spa and she could talk all day at how amazing it is.
One of the best JW Marriott resorts it is super unique and probably the most stunning hotel on this list. The whole hotel is set up like a university with departments and classes. Super fun and different.
My friend stayed in the Turquoise Suite in the architecture department and after exploring every inch she says there literally are no bad rooms here at all. The whole site is just oozing with color and personality.
The villas here are some of the best I have ever seen. The hotel was designed by Bill Bensley who has designed some of the most unique hotels in the world.
The beach here is divine, the dining superb, and the experience second to none. Oh if there is a large group of you the Presidential Villa is amazing.

Hotel Alfonso XIII – Seville, Spain
If you are after a little Spanish adventure then may I suggest the beautiful Hotel Alfonso XIII. It has a rather grand palatial feel.
The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool, gym, and a garden courtyard with a fountain. It’s all very Spanish in an old historic way.
Rooms here are individually designed and the Alfonso XIII Suite is heaven.

If you looking to live out your Mama Mia fantasies then the Domes of Elounda is for you. The hotel set out is unusual, the views are incredible and the staff here are some of the best you will experience.
The rooms here are beautifully decorated in a dark warm style which while a contrast to the environment works so well. What really wins the prize here though is the private residences which are all set around large pools with incredible views.
I love this place as it so unusual in it’s style and room types. It is one of the best Marriott resorts in the world. It’s a great place for a Greek Honeymoon.
W Verbier, Switzerland
If beach holidays aren’t for you how about some snow? W Verbier is the place to come to feel like a celerity.
More of a house than a hotel it has a contemporary alpine design with all the facilities you could wish for. It is also next to the ski lift.
The hotel is composed of 6 chalets around a town square with each room featuring a balcony some with mountain views.

This unusual property in Peru is one of the best Marriott resorts in the world. Tambo del Inka offers a cozy experience in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
The property has a swimming pool, spa, and all the modern facilities you will need but here it’s nature that really does the talking.

Hotel Marqués de Riscal, Spain
Perhaps I have left the best for last well at least it is the most unusual. You have never seen a hotel like Hotel Marqués de Riscal.
Located in Elciego, in La Rioja’s Álava province in Spain, it’s perfect for all the wine connoisseurs. However, it is the design of this hotel that makes it a must-visit.
Designed by Frank Gehry think of it as an avant-garde hotel that you will either love or hate. I’m on the love side.
The bathrooms are black marble, the widow seats are zig zags and it’s just all a bit odd in a good way.
There is an indoor pool, hammam, Finnish sauna, fitness center, and a spa that uses grape-based treatments.
At the top of the hotel, there is a rooftop library lounge and a wine bar with a great view. There are also eight other terraces that offer unique vistas around the property.
Wine tours of course can be organized.
The rooms here all offer something a little different from their views to quirkiness so pick which works for you.
Certainly one of the more unique luxury Marriott resorts.
