Terrence. In charge of: photography, technology, planning rental cars-As a young kid, I grew up in NYC, but I always longed to see more scenic locations. When my family moved to Florida, I was excited by the different terrain, and it helped me craft my photography style, but I was quickly bored. Years later, I took a family vacation to Tennessee, which was my first time seeing actual mountains, and my passion for traveling was ignited. When I met Victoria, she was desperate to travel abroad, a common interest we shared. We took our first trip together in June of 2015. Travel has allowed me to improve as a photographer and a person. Experiencing different landscapes and cultures pushes my existing boundaries and helps me achieve things I never thought possible.
Victoria. In charge of: blogging, social media, modeling. As a kid, I was always on the go. I was homeschooled and my parents took my sister and RVing all over North America for four months out of the year, for roughly 6 years of my life. I had been to 49/50 states and 7 Canadian provinces before my 14th birthday. My grandfather once asked my parents how my sister and I would adapt to a normal “settled” life after so much traveling, and the answer is, I absolutely have not! Travel is in my blood and my wanderlust spirit has only grown. I reject the idea that we have to pay bills and die, and have made life choices specifically to enable myself to travel. Anyone can travel, you just have to want it to work so badly that it is your whole life.
Why Follow Me Away?
We met at a photoshoot in April 2014, started talking about travel, and were sitting in Europe exactly a year from our first travel conversation. We didn’t decide to travel together because of our photos. They were a nice bonus, but our similar passions and opposite personalities were the perfect fit for travel. We always found it interesting that we were the same two people, one photographer and one model, oftentimes wearing the same wardrobe, who consistently produced vastly different pictures depending on location. After we got back from our first trip to Europe, we started a co-instagram page for our fine-art travel photography, and here we are talking to you! Want to see some of our work?
