Iceland

One of the most exciting things about visiting Iceland in the summer is that you will be there during the Lupine season. These beautiful purple flowers are remarkable to see in person and make your travel photos all the more beautiful!

Iceland is one of the must-see European countries in June that you won’t want to overlook as the better weather, longer daylight hours, and improved travel conditions allow you to travel in a way that you can’t during the rest of the year.

Ireland

I adore visiting Ireland in the summer months! Ireland is by far one of the best countries in Europe to visit in June. This month is considered to be the best time of the year to visit, so you can expect more crowds. But, you can also expect more services and tours available as well.

When it comes to things to do in Ireland in June, there are generally more festivals and events for you to check out than at other times of the year. You will also have more daylight hours to work with if you fancy an epic road trip on the Wild Atlantic Way.

The Cotswolds

I love that visiting Europe in June allows you to enjoy warm summer temperatures without experiencing peak heat that hits around July and August. If you are interested in a Tuscany road trip, June is a dreamy time for it!

A Europe trip in June is something I will always be excited for. The long days, incredible fishing opportunities, dolphin spotting, and bird watching all make June the perfect time to visit the Scottish Highlands.

With incredible opportunities here like cycling with a view, seeing Loch Ness, castle-chasing, learning fascinating history, exploring historic towns, and enjoying vibrant Scottish culture, it is easy to see why the highlands are among the best places to visit in Europe in June.

Jungfrau Region, Switzerland

Gothenburg, Sweden

One of the best European cities to visit in June is Gothenburg, Sweden. I love the waterfront strolls and incredible seafood here in Gothenburg. With warmer weather in June, you can enjoy being outside at the Liseberg Amusement Park, walking along the river, and exploring the town on foot.

Some other top things to do in Gothenburg in June include checking out the museums, visiting the Gothenburg Botanical Garden, and exploring the Universeum where you can walk through an indoor rainforest!

Faroe Islands

If you love being in the great outdoors, then I think you are going to love the Faroe Islands! They are one of the best places to visit in Europe in June and offer some remarkable outdoor adventures for keen travelers.

Boat tours, kayaking, hiking, checking out the local whiskey distillery, gazing at puffins, and waterfall chasing are all musts in the Faroe Islands. During June, it never gets fully dark, so you can enjoy activities at any time of day.

Among the best summer cities in Europe is Innsbruck, Austria. This colorful mountain city is stunning and packs a lot of attractions, history, and beauty into one location along the Inn River in the Nordkette Mountains.

There are loads of things to do in Innsbruck! Beautiful churches, museums, gardens, and historic sites are all there for you to check out. If you have limited time, make sure to check out the Ambras Castle and take a ride on the mountain cable car while you are in town.

Berlin, Germany

Krakow, Poland
