When you think about Disney, thoughts of screaming children, long lines, Florida heat, and crazy tourists probably enter your mind. Romance is probably the furthest thing from your initial thought process, but we are here to tell you it is totally possible! Whether you are a visitor or a Florida resident, Walt Disney World is a wonderful place to spend time together as a couple.
6 Magical Ways to Make Your Day at Disney Extra Romantic:
1. Make fast passes in advance
Disney offers an epic free fast pass program that couples should take advantage of! Before heading to the park, do some online research into which rides or attractions you most want to see and then create fast passes accordingly. This will save you the hassle of standing in line for hours with screaming kids when you could be spending time elsewhere. If you want to visit something epic like Disney’s Pandora, make sure to book as far in advance as you can so you can ride all the best rides!
2. Divide the rides
He loves Space Mountain and she loves Haunted Mansion? Take turns choosing which ride you will go on so each person will get to do something they want. Perhaps you want to try the best Disney thrill rides and your partner is interested in slower paced rides! Maybe your partner has been to Disney tons of times and you are new. They will show you tried and true favorites while you have the option to choose fun rides that are new to you. Keep things fair and everyone wins!
3. Indulge in an adult beverage
If drinking is your thing, pick up an adult beverage at one of the parks. Epcot is famous for its World Showcase, where you can “drink around the world.” Relaxing with some liquor will make you feel like you are on a grown-up date and not running around with someone else’s children. Drink in moderation because you want to remember the fun and your partner’s cute face on your Disney vacation for adults!
4. Spend some time alone
Nothing says romance like spending time alone. Finding a quiet place to relax is difficult, but not impossible at Disney parks. We love the People Mover ride at Magic Kingdom, the museums in Japan and Morroco at Epcot, and the secluded trails found at Animal Kingdom. Secluded or quieter spaces will help you connect better with each other and will help you feel ready to continue hanging out in the park!
5. Eat a nice meal together
Sure, spending $10 on a burger at a walk-up counter is a great way to save money, but it isn’t the most romantic thing in the world. Disney Parks offer a wide variety of restaurant options. Save up some money and splurge on moderately priced dining at one of the parks. Epcot is our favorite choice for dining because there are so many options that fit a variety of budgets.
6. Choose to visit Epcot
Epcot is the ultimate couples park at Disney. It is very adult friendly, offers tons of food and drink options, and is both educational and fun. It is often less crowded than other parks because families opt out of Epcot and everything about the park is very relaxed. If you are looking for a mix of Disney magic, an adult atmosphere, and fab dining options, Epcot is for you!
